Mostro Di-Potenza SF22 Lamborghini Indomable to go into production
A US company called 215 Racing has bought the rights to the dramtic-looking Lamborghini Indomable Concept car designed by Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa and Alberto Fernandez Albilares, and has promised to put it into production under the name Mostro Di-Potenza SF22.
The most noticeable aspect to the car is of course that distinct Lamborghini shape. The body showcases a long curvaceous rear end which encapsulates a mid-mounted engine, and a low-slung front end with high front guards and raked A-pillars.
The front end doesn't appear to have a grille of any type, just a large scoop in the chin for gulping fresh air. Lamborghini-esque headlights also give away the Italian supercar-inspired roots, as do the triple-angle edges on the bonnet and lower nose.
At the back there's a hugely aggressive rear diffuser setup incorporating a single-piece LED taillight and a large carbon fibre engine vent and cover. Beneath the cover lies a 9.4-litre twin-turbo V8, no less, producing an enormous 1492kW of power and a truly ridiculous 2700Nm of torque - about the same amount of power as seven and a half Holden Commodores put together.
According to the company, the SF22 will be capable of rocketing from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The only aspect holding it back from achieving quicker acceleration times is the fact that it's rear-wheel drive. Top speed is set to be around 426km/h. Interestingly, a Bugatti Veyron SS can achieve those speeds using a mere 895kW.
215 Racing is adamant it will build and sell 50 examples of the outrageous car under the company's sub-brand called Mosto Di-Potenza (monster power). It aims to build them at the company's factory in Abington, Pennsylvania, USA. Prices will start at around $950,000 after a $1000 deposit. Not bad for a used-to-be Lamborghini. Let's just hope it all goes ahead.
