Thread: stock Ultra 250X Top Speed ?

    stock Ultra 250X Top Speed ?

    ok, I got 64.7mph (gps) on my stock 08 Ultra 250X with a full tank (hot weather approx. 90 degrees ), water was like glass. Is this right for this ski?
    I'm planning to do some mods that BC18471 member turned me onto plus more. I'm going to gps my speed in between these mods so I can see if thier is an improvement by the mod (s). Hopefully with conditions the same or close to it each time I run. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same results with the stock ski running around 64 mph?

    yea 64mph is what i see. 115-ish and dry outside.

    I am seeing 70 mph on the digital speedo now that I have over 10 hours on it, it seems to be getting faster once the motor is broke in. The speedometers can vary and are known to not be accurate. The best way to find your true speed is to bring a portable GPS out and see what your speed is.

    I believe he says GPS speed in the first sentence.

    A 250X should get 66-68mph(GPS) in good water conditions and a cold day, right?

    thats more in the range for the 260 imo

    250X's top speed ranges from 65-67 from what I've gathered.

    When mine was competely stock it ran 66.7 with high 60 degs air temps.

    so how much more power does a 260X have then a 250X? 10hp? 20hp?
